On Monday, September 30, 2024, the Bristol Water and Sewer Department will continue our 2024 hydrant flushing season. The following areas may be affected:
Sandra Street, Ben Street, Jacqueline Drive, Farmington Avenue, Hannah Street, Christine Street, Gregory Road, Jasmine Street, Rosewood Drive, Stafford Avenue, Deerfield Road, Arbor Court, Ivy Drive, Council Ring Drive, Rambler Street, Kimberly Lane, Couture Drive, Marcia Drive, Sims Road, Camp Street, and some of the surrounding areas. We will continue flushing this area until the next area is posted.
We will flush hydrants on these streets and the adjacent areas starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m., to allow customers to run their cold water until it runs clear. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during flushing and for short periods afterwards. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. You should run an outside faucet or the cold water in your bathtub until the water runs clear.
