On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, the Bristol Water and Sewer Department will continue their 2024 hydrant flushing season. There will be TWO different areas that may be affected:
Bonnie Acres, Vance Drive, Farmington Avenue, Louisiana Avenue, Morris Avenue, Adeline Avenue, John Avenue, Fanway Avenue, Collier Avenue, and some of the surrounding areas.
AND
Butternut Lane, Prestige Lane, Dolphin Road, Silo Road, Poitras Road, Shingle Mill Road, Village Street, Cold Springs Road, Thistle Lane, DiPietro Lane, Trelli Lane, and Some of the surrounding areas.
We will continue flushing these areas until the next area is posted.
We will flush hydrants on these streets and the adjacent areas starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m., to allow customers to run their cold water until it runs clear. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during flushing and for short periods afterwards. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. You should run an outside faucet or the cold water in your bathtub until the water runs clear.
