TIER ii RESIDENTIAL PERMITS
You are considered Residential Tier II if you own residential property in Bristol but do not reside in Bristol, OR if you are a residential permit holder and dispose of more than 2.5 tons of material within a year (audit completed October 1st yearly). The Department also considers the prior two years of Transfer Station usage to determine reclassification. The following year, if you dispose of less than 2.5 tons, you will be reclassified as residential.
To use the Transfer Station, you must have a Transfer Station Permit. Your permit must be active, and there must be money on your account to gain access to the Transfer Station. Each visit, you will need to bring your Transfer Station permit, and residential permit holders will need to bring their Bristol license/I.D. (if your current Bristol address is not on your license, a change of address sticker needs to be applied to the back side of your license).
Online payments are subject to a convenience fee, typically 2.95% of the transaction fee

Adding of funds are available on your account the next business day, if you pay by 8:00 p.m.
NEW TRANSFER STATION PERMITS, PERMIT RENEWALS, PERMIT REPLACEMENTS
Permit renewals are $40 for five years. Please continue to use the same permit.
Effective within one business day.
New Transfer Station Permits: $65.00 total ($40 for a five year permit, $25 minimum initial funds). Your permit will be mailed once we receive your application and payment.
Replacement Transfer Station Permits: LOST PERMITS. Replacement permits are mailed once processed. Replacement permits are $40.00 and expire 5 years from the date of purchase.
Payments submitted without an application will be refunded.
Directions to the Transfer Station
The Transfer Station is located on Lake Avenue (off Middle Street), opposite #705 Lake Avenue. Look for the Transfer Station sign and a large white rock on the property adjacent to access road.

Monday through Friday: 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM
Saturday: 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM
