"To protect and serve the community with integrity and professionalism"


Welcome to the Bristol Police Department website. The City of Bristol has a population of approximately 65,000 people and covers over 27 square miles. The police department consists of 121 sworn police officers and 25 civilian personnel. The department has been serving the community since 1893.

 team photo before.jpgMembers of the Central Region Emergency Response Team recently participated in the 2014 CT SWAT Challenge. The team is made up of officers from surrounding towns to include Bristol, Southington and Plainville. The team took part in several shooting and physical fitness events over the course of two days.
